The call was initially on DFN MCU and later moved to skypecast. Skypecast was both easy and efficient in handling such conferences and is highly recommneded by Loukik :)
SNMP MP Visualisation (Stijn)
Stijn asked whether there has been any plans for visualization of metrics gathered via SNMP. Loukik mentioned that this hasn't been discussed yet as the focus is currently on improving the service. The long term objective is to use pS-UI to visualize many metrics and one of them could be SNMP MP. This topic will be revisited around 2-3 months from now.
Feedback on SNMP MP
Rafael installed the service but tests where unsuccessful - he had some problems which he emailed to the group the previous day. LK to help in fixing up the service that has been installed but not working. LK says that he will need log files from Rafael to understand what is going wrong. Rafael to email the log files to LK.
In order to understand the code, Rafael mentioned that he would need some documentation. If the documentation is not complete, discussions would help me understand and based on these discussions, he is willing to contribute to the documentation. LK to provide first set of documentation to Rafael. Rafael and Loukik to discuss any questions about the code and work together on completing the document
Discussion on planning
Leobino and Rafael proposed plans (until September) for work on SNMP MP integration and paper. The plan has been slightly modified to add performance testing phase and to allow more time for writing up the paper. The new plan as of now is
(From the day the SNMP MP is running on RNP site)
- First 7 ~ 10 days - Look with more detail at the SNMP MP code and try to add comments and maybe improve something (Client and Service)
- Next 20 days - Do the integration with passive measurements with NeTraMet Collector - Build the configuration file, implement the changes at NeTraMet Collector, build the client for SNMP MP (at NeTCollector)
- Next 10 ~ 15 days - Tests with the new environment in the network and get the results. Include Functional testing to see if integration is ok and also include Performance Testing
- By August 30 - Analyse the results and write the paper about the integration. Start work on paper soon. TOC for paper is ready

Next Call: The next call has been tentatively scheduled for 14th of July 2006, same time.
