Review of actions
- (Roman): To send his comments to the list - DONE
- (PSNC): To update chapter 2 "Classification of content" with more detailed description - DONE sent to the list on 21 Mar
- (Loukik): To update chapter 3 "Classification of messages" - DONE sent to the list 18 Mar
RL summarised chapter 2 activity. He received comments from LK and waiting for others, especially from NMWG point fo view. LK was worying the number of details in the classification was too high. He proposed to wait for comments from Martin and JB and see what changes could be made.
LK gave chapter 3 activity overview. He noticed that Lookup Service content would also define the messages which will go to the Lookup Service. There was a discussion started on the mailing list. LK also looked at UDDI. Wiki page has been created to hold the description of Lookup Service fields and everybody can make updates. LK suggested to have use this list while building the prototype and making sure that all messeges reflect what the content is. LK asked JB to comment the proposal. JB, RL and AH agreed with the initial proposal.
Discussion on error messages. It was proposed to have a common error message format for all services. LK suggested to define it in the 2nd chapter "Classification of content". He asked RL to add it into chapter 2. JB noticed LK had been trying to define a standard place for error messages without enumerating all the different types of errors. LK disagreed - he said in chapter 2 we defined error message which would contain error code, description etc.
LK wanted to know what partners thought about requests to RRD typ Measurement Points. He suggested to start a new thread. JB mentioned we could start with NMWG scheme for this particular request. But not sure whether we wanted to use the new format. LK would initiate discussion with finding out the logic behind we could migrate the RRD tool into Measurement Point service.
LK asked whether we were going to have a poll interface on Measurement Point or push one? JB suggested to simplify prototype and choose either poll or push model. LK wanted to know RL oppinion which subscriber model to choose: a list or JB's proposal. RL thought that the latter one. RL and MG agreed to follow JB proposal. Push model was agreed between RRD Measurement Point and the client and poll for the Measurement Archive.
Discussion about AA service.
RL asked to comment his last proposal for message classification. JB would have a look together with Martin.
Discussion about area 2. JB would like to prepare a strawman which tools would be used to implement and have everyone debating on that. He was hoping to have more people commenting the list already existed. He hadn't seen any strict oppinion. JB proposed to have final decision until the end of next week. RL commented he had understood from discussion the group focused on Web Services and dropped JINI. He asked JB whether he had colleagues experienced with Globus.
Next conf call for area 1 on Thursday 24 Mar but depends on the progress.
