Visualisation

  • Description: This session is about common topics for the visualisation tools, in particular about the
    • implementation of AA,
    • implementation of Transformation Service within the visualisation tools

  • Description: The participants are asked to test the visualisation tools (perfsonarUI, CNM, HADES and BWCTL web pages).

SD meeting RRD MA, LS and Telnet SSH/MP

  • Session helper: LK; session length: 1h30
  • Description: The objective fo the session is to improve the information that the service desk has at hand to solve the issues encountered and to establish a coordination between the SD and the developers to achieve those goals.
    1. List issues encountered with the services + highlight issues that the SD cannot solve (their symptoms) (SD),
    2. Identify how to solve them (SD + Dev),
    3. Initiate the process to build an FAQ (SD to quick the process, developer to take over at a later stage).
    4. Organise a quick brainstorm to identify what can go wrong with a web-service (+ highlight potential symptoms ) developer to explain the service internals, what can go wrong and the errors

  • Session helper: NS ; session length: 1h30

Web-service diagnosis

  • Session helper: LI/NS; WI: 3-5, session length: 1h
  • Description: The SD has encoutnered some difficulties in solving some incidents. In particular, they identify the lack of access to some web-service diagnostic information (what component works, etc) to extend the web-services with some self diagnose capacity (is the BWCTL deamon alive, can we reach the RRD MA configuration file, etc). The information report is though to be done via an extension to pS ping (or error messages) and/or via the web-admin page. The deamon is also foreseen to report on CPU load, memory utilisation. The session is to get a message structure and agree on the location of the deamon and of its functionalities
