Objectives
The main objective of this visualisation tool is to work together with the SSH/Telnet MP. Together with the latter it provides the Looking Glass functionality. This means that users can query a MP, and thus its underlying devices, for running configuration information.
Achievements
Currently, the tool is in the same stage as the SSH/Telnet MP. This means that it uses the same version of schema that is detailed in the section about the MP and provides a graphical representation of the information made available by the MP.
The tool uses a wizard-style construction of the query. The step are described briefly below:
- Choose the location of the MP
- Choose the desired supported device
- Choose the pre-configured command to be executed
- Provide some additional parameters if desired
- Click send
