Agenda

Developer status update on Hand-over of software and all specification documents and change logs:
1. ALL - Web Admin Jar - 0.7b - supports grouping and description in service.properties.
  1. Michalis - new versions expected when? Michalis is waiting some files from Paul and Gina to polish the look and feel. Once he gets them he will have the final release of web admin at 1-2 days. Meantime he's trying to make any changes that can be made without these files.
    1. ACTION NEW: Loukik to send email asking for change logs to reflect version of web admin to all developers.
  2. Michalis suggests that the developers write a document with information about the wizard configuration for their services. ACTION NEW Loukik to talk to Michalis and Gina about Installation actions document planning.
2. Candido - Authentication Service
  1. Documentation and change log complete, available on SVN trunk.
  2. Software - There is a new RC3 in the SVN. Cándido is waiting for the new version of the webadmin jar to release the RC4 including the new template of log4j.properties. Cándido got no news on testing from David and Patricia.
  3. Testing update (David and Patricia) - scripts are ready, result codes for the AS are here.
    1. ACTION ONGOING: David to send to Cándido the messages sent to the service, to ensure that they are the ones expected.
    2. ACTION ONGOING: David to do functional test on the AS, including the registration and echo-ping.
    3. David and Patricia are testing the RPMs, but they have found a problem with the perfsonar-tomcat rpm file, because its Tomcat doesn't work. Cándido forwarded an email about that to Michalis, Loukik and Guilherme. ACTION NEW: Loukik to dig out email from David/Michalis talking about RPM problems - make it avaiable to Guilherme.
3. Roman - RRD MA
  1. Documentation - All documents and change log on SVN trunk.
  2. Software - 3.0-RC4 is available.
    1. ACTION ONGOING Loukik to Provide full details of Sun server to wiki page and access to Roman.
  3. Testing update (Michalis) - Scripts are ready. A bug in the authentication process was found and reported on bugzilla and to Candido. Roman says it must be a problem with AS and not RRD-MA. Any news on this topic?
    1. Michalis hasn't yet installed RC4. It's his second priority after web admin since it seems to be functioning satisfactory
  4. Testing - Performance
    1. ACTION ONGOING Roman to read test reports and comment on them.
4. Roman - SQL MA
  1. Documentation - All documents and change log on SVN trunk.
  2. Software - 2.0-RC4 is available.
  3. Testing update (Sasa Cavara) - scripts are ready. Sasa installed the RC4. Installation itself went without any problem. LS registration works fine as well. Sasa didn't finish running soapui tests / AuthN tests. Hopes to complete them today, or at least on Thursday. Sasa will be off from work for Easter holiday starting tomorrow.
    1. ACTION NEW Loukik to discuss SQL MA testing with Michalis - how is it that there are problems with LS and AA for Michalis but not for Sasa - are there configuration issues?
5. Stijn - SSH-Telnet MP
  1. All documents and change log on SVN trunk.
  2. Software - 1.3-RC3 is out. no news since last week, was going to produce RC4 with new psBase en new web admin jars, but the new web admin jar isn't there yet.
  3. Testing Update (Panagiotis)
  4. Done:
    1. Well formed requests, all done, problems reported on bugzilla.
    2. LS registration, not working. Panagiotis has talked with Stijn Melis about this.
  5. Pending:
    1. Finish and upload functional testing specification document

6. Verena - BWCTL MP
  1. Documentation and change log available on DFN Erlangen SVN
  2. Software - 0.4-RC4 is out. WebAdmin configuration tool to configure BWCTL MP is out. WebAdmin tool rework: waiting for visuals from Loukik, as soon as Verena has these, the WebAdmin tool will be adjusted. A running version of the service would help in general.
  3. Testing update (Stijn) Java scripts are ready. managed to get the MP installed and running. Just started some tests. Found something, and will report it to Verena and Jochen.
7. Maciej - Single LS
  1. Documentation and change log available on SVN trunk.
  2. Software - 1.2-RC3 is available for testing, fixes problem of RRD MA registration. Next week new RC4 will be available, with new psBASE and updated web admin jar. Documentation is being updated to reflect new message type ErrorResponse.
  3. Testing update (Prodromos) - scripts are ready. Finished testing on RC3.
    1. Prodromos is having problems with malformed requests, LS returns invalid responses. This will not be fixed until next release. ACTION DONE: This is solved by ErrorResponse message type.
    2. ACTION ONGOING Michalis to ask developers to send Prodromos the LS Register requests produced by their service - Michalis reminded the developers to send an example LSRegistration Request.
8. Guilherme - CLI MP
  1. Documentation and change logs available on SVN trunk.
  2. Software - CL-MP 2.0-RC3 is out on deb and rpm format with AA support. Updated documentation?
  3. Testing (Jochem) - scripts ready to support new features. Time to test RC3?
    1. Verify that bugs are corrected for:
      1. Ping functionality.
      2. Traceroute functionality (incompatibility RedHat / Debian )
    2. New functionalities:
      1. AA support
      2. LS functionality.
      3. Cron functionality?
    3. Will test for normal functionality and/or support for AA and/or cron/store functionality (schedule measurement)?
9. Jeff and Jason - perfSONOBuoy
  1. Documentation - first week of March.
  2. Software - Brian finished running tests on perfSONAR-BUOY today. Jason will be looking at the results tomorrow, but Jeff believes there were no surprises. So, the development of the web-admin interface and documentation is all that remains.
    1. RPM installation - set of rpms or just one with everything?
    2. web-admin interface - end of March?
  3. Testing - service being tested now.
10. Maxim and Yee - Pinger
  1. Documentation - ready
  2. Software - PingER is on track.
  3. Testing - ready and done.
11. ACTION:Infrastructure to help functional testing - Test Infrastructure:
  1. A LS deployed so that people can register the information - DONE According to Michalis, there seems to be a misconfiguration problem and the LS is not working properly. He has notified Szymon about this, but the last time he checked the problem was still there.
    1. ACTION NEW: Szymon to install the new RC of LS as soon as it is made available, and to follow on this problem with Michalis.
  2. An AS service for people to test the authentication - DONE
  3. A server with three operating systems to test the installation ONGOING A server is ready and configured with Red-Hat. Debian and Free BSD will be available if there is a strong need for them.
    1. What to use on Debian and Free BSD instead of RPMs? Roman suggested creating WAR files and putting then in Tomcat. Roman has already created war files for RRD-MA and SQL-MA latest RCs.
      1. ACTION ONGOING: Loukik to discuss with Roman about using war files and updating the Product Build Guid document. Guilherme will have a deb_maker script to automatize the process of building deb packages.
      2. ACTION NEW:Loukik to discuss deb maker scripts and update functionality with Guilherme.
  4. Each development team will install the latest RC of their services and make them available. Loukik to send an email to the development list asking for this, and then to create a page on the Wiki to place the links to the installed services. Hopefully, all developers will have new RCs next week, and will install them as asked. If anyone needs to use DANTE server, just ask.

  2. Software - 1.2-RC3 is available. Last Friday Maciej did a new RC4 for Prodromos to test. New RC4 will be publicly available when updated web admin jar is available, also with improved installation by rpm. Documentation will be updated to reflect new message type ErrorResponse.
  3. Testing update (Prodromos) - scripts are ready. Testing on RC4 is not finished, will be by the end of this week.
    1. Prodromos discovered new bugs, on installation (user rights) of LS and on schema. Maciej wants more information on installation bug. Prodromos will re-install the RC4 to try to reproduce the bug, and send more information about it to Maciej and Guilherme. The schema bug will be solved when Maciej updates the RNC files with ErrorResponse message type.

Loukik will start writing these on the Product Build Guid document, and then Roman will review and complete this. Objective is to create war files for all java services.
      2. ACTION ONGOING:Loukik to discuss deb maker scripts and update functionality with Guilherme - hopes to finish the scripts this week.
      3. New developments on rpm - we can now uninstall and upgrade the services.
