From GEANT2-JRA1 Wiki

July 2005 report

The work on data aggregation and concatenation is being performed. A thread was launched on the IETF IPPM mailing list to collect experience on data aggregation and concatenation. Due to the number of people having showed some interest on that topic, an IETF draft was started (draft-morton-ippm-composition-00.txt) to which GN2-JRA1 is contributing.

A study on how to access TTM data was performed. The OWD and jitter data retrieved from the GÉANT RIPE TTM are being used and integrated within the DFN IPPM visualisation tool. Progress has been made on the topology database for the visualisation tools.

The prototype group has been working on the Measurement Archive service and has completed the messageHandler (read the incoming request and divide the message into atomic requests), serviceEngine for RRD (in charge of querying the Round Robin database). The different components of the MA have been integrated together. The delivery of the prototype phase 0 was delayed by the unavailability of the partners. The expected delay if of two weeks. The prototype group has also started to work on a straw-man proposal for the look-up service. The lookup-service should be defined by the end of August.

Two people, working for JRA1, have left their respective companies. Their workplan had to be adapted and their work redistributed to other partners when their companies weren’t able to provide the required resource.

A JRA1 face-to-face meeting was held in Paris and was preceded by a prototype development meeting. A JRA1 status update presentation was given at the Paris TF-NGN meeting.
