DJ1.2.3 on Metric Concatenation Framework has been finished and is ready for review. Tests on metric concatenation have been done and the results outcome have been post-processed and put in a format ready for analyse.
The description of the JRA1 path based visualisation tool has been provided. The tool will take as input the output of a traceroute command and show information (number or graph) for each hop along the path. The tool should be available by April 2006.
Work on the improvement of the perfSONAR general services have been done, the work includes the definition of the auxiliary component for logging and scheduling tasks. DJ1.2.2 Detailed Design and API for JRA1 Base Services last comments from the GÉANT2 internal reviewers have been included. A perfSONAR poster was presented during the Super Computing 2005 conference.
SWITCH has deployed the perfSONAR RRD MA service and is providing information about its backbone link utilisation. To see more about the deployment status, please refer to MA Service Installation status. Eight out of twelve IPPM/AB servers and their GPS antennas have been shipment and installed. The IPPM measurement results can be seen at http://www.win-labor.dfn.de/cgi-bin/ipqos/select-new.pl?config=geant (note that deprecated measurement points are included). The three netflow and four packet capture servers and DAG cards have been shipped and installed. A perfSONAR traceroute visualiser (https://performance.es.net/cgi-bin/perfsonar-trace.cgi) tool developed by ESnet is making use of the data provided by several NRENs.
A meeting was held with GÉANT2 JRA3 to investigate the course of action between both activities. An update phone call with EGEE JRA4 was held. GÉANT2 JRA1 received a EGEE JRA4 document describing the EGEE metrics needs.
One paper on “Application of the NM-WG Schema for Network Performance Data Exchange in the perfSONAR System” was submitted at Networking 2006 conference and two abstracts on ”A study on Network Performance Metrics and their Composition” and “Extending a Network Measurement Schema to support the perfSONAR System” were submitted for the TNC 2006 conference.
