MJ1.3.1 objectives:
- PSNC has implemented the Lookup Service as well as the capability for a service to register itself and its capabilities to the Lookup Service. The keepalives and the deregistration are currently missing and will be implemented over Q1 2006.
- A java RRD MA has been enhanced. The next additions are the registration capability to a LS, and a write interface which would allow a Measurement Point to send data for storage in a Measurement Archive (done during Q1 2006).
- A ping Measurement Point has been created (perl). Very little modification has to be done to extend it to BWCTL. This should be done over January.
- A perl MA has been created by DFN for the IPPM OWD measurements. The data of the deployed JRA1 IPPM measurement servers are now available through the perfSONAR interface. Improvements will be carried out over Q1 2006 improve the request functionalities.
- CNM is retrieving and displaying the link utilisation from the GÉANT access links, SWITCH, ESnet and Uninett. The work has been carried out by DFN.
ISTF has deployed the perfSONAR RRD MA service (python version) and is providing information about its backbone link utilisation. To see more about the deployment status, please refer to MA Service Installation status.
CESNET and ARNES installed each two passive monitoring stations with DAG cards which are capturing traffic between GN2 and these NRENs. Development started of short-term available bandwidth and tracefile capture applications including their MPs (Measurement Point) services.
ISTF has developed a visualisation tool which retrieves all the data from a Measurement archive, display a summary and allow to graph historical information from the Measurement Archive. http://monstera.man.poznan.pl/jra1-wiki/index.php/PerfsonarUI
