Analyses of the OWD data for concatenation. The results of the analyses will be reported into a paper submitted at the TNC 2006 conference in Catania (Italy).

Two version of perfsonarUI (v0.03 and v0.04) have been released. They support IPv6 searching and IPv6 traceroute parsing and is capable of retrieving the data from all the different MAs currently deployed and using different version of the schema. This is done in parallel with a important work on the schema to offer backward compatibility within the releases, which isn’t the case as of today.

The release management and test teams are being set-up as following the recommendation from the last review. The goal of setting-up those teams is to produce operational quality code to offer a monitoring service. The teams roles will be presented in DJ1.3.1. The introduction of the operational quality target does have an impact on the main service development as resources are being diverted from the development for the creation and life of the new release management activity. In addition additional resources are diverted because of the introduction of unit testing to increase the level of tests for code verification.

The ground work on the error messages definition has been produced. It is expected that they should be defined by April.

To ease the installation of the java RRD MA, PSNC has provided installation and configuration scripts. This has eased greatly java RRD MA installation process. This is an important step towards wider adoption of the system.

Deployment

• A telnet/SSH java MP has been created and installed by UGENT/Belnet. It provides access to a cisco router and to a Quagga router simulator for trial purpose.
• PIONEER MA is running. A total of ten Measurement Archives have been deployed, amongst them, seven by European NRENs (http://monstera.man.poznan.pl/jra1-wiki/index.php/RRD_type_MA_Service_Installations).
• Four PING MPs have been installed by SWITCH (perl version)

DJ1.2.3 Network Metric Report on metric definition, concatenation and aggregation has been released after internal project review. Further work on that topic has been recommended to include sub L3 metric relevant to JRA3 and JRA4 as well as on pragmatic recommendations to perform aggregation and concatenation.

The writing on DJ1.3.1 Implementation Report – Phase II has started. The writing and reviewing process should take three months.
