Visualisation tools
The CNM tool has been extended with a zoom functionality which allows the user to zoom in and out of a current network map, reset the zoom level and to fit the zoom to the window size, its height, or its width.
PerfsonarUI v0.08 is now available and has mostly included feedback from users.
Services
Two additional release candidates have been produced (RRD Measurement Archive service and Lookup Service). Several bugs were found and fixed and the performances of the services have been improved. The latest release candidate seems to be pretty stable and will very likely be the first perfSONAR release.
Metric Composition Framework
Additional measurement and analyses on delay concatenation have been conducted. The results seem to indicate that we can really neglect any sophisticated composition procedure for OWD on trunks that are loaded at even 25%, and just sum the means.
Collaborations
During the GÉANT2 all activity meeting in Cambridge several meetings were held:
- A JRA1 activity meeting
- A meet the NREN session where different tools where presented. During that session, the attendees have had the opportunity to test different tool with the support of JRA1 members. The attendees where also asked to provide feedback on the tools. The feedback was rather positive and several request for enhancements were done.
- A joint session with SA3 was held and in particular with the PERT who have been given the opportunity to tests different JRA1 tools. The feedback was also positive and several requests for enhancements were made.
- A joint session with JRA4 on the AA use case was held.
- A joint session with SA3, JRA3 and JRA4 was held on the common Network Information System. That system will integrate the JRA1 topology service over year 3 and both SA3 and JRA1 are working on a merging their layer3 database schema.
