Visualisation tools
JRA4 CBF has developed a visualisation tool presenting the E2E L2 circuit status. The JRA4 visualisation make use of a perfSONAR interface to retrieve monitoring information from multiple networks. It can access the L2 status information the same way from two perfSONAR compliant web-service. One MP developed by JRA4 and one MA developed by JRA1. It retrieves the L2 status from GARR and GÉANT2.
A BWCTL web tool has been made available to the NREN NOCs community via login/password. This webtool allows user to start on-demand BWCTL (TCP throughput) tests between host it knows of.
Services
A common L3 topology database schema has been established between JRA1 and SA3. It has the advantage that the NRENs would have to deploy a single topology DB for both activities. The population and maintenance of a topology Database are even more compelling for a NREN as two application will make use of it..
User migrating their RRD MA service from previous version to the perfSONAR release 1 have encountered difficulties with the installation process and have provided feedback. Their feedback will be taken into consideration when improving the installation scripts.
Measurement tools
BWCTL/OWAMP MP and Hades MA have been released (perl version). Features are: multiple functionality with one service, error return codes and installation instructions in README file.
Metric Composition Framework
A proposal for a dashboard has been provided. The dashboard aims at providing an at a glance view on parameters (data aggregation).
