Services

An authentication library which allows the java perfSONAR web-services to communicate with the Authentication Service (under development) has been created. A tutorial session on how to use this library will be given during the Cambridge meeting in June.

An API to allow services to register to the Lookup Service is being developed following a request from cNIS that needed functionalities similar to the one provided by the Lookup Service. The API will be generic enough to be usable by any other GÉANT2 web-service.

Measurement tools

The first version of the perfSONAR monitoring probe, based on XML EchoRequest/ EchoResponse is ready as well as the probe module for SmokePing that is being used for overseeing the monitoring of the deployed perfSONAR web-services. http://netmon.acad.bg/smokeping?target=svc.psping

Collaborations

A presentation about perfSONAR was given at INGRID 2007 conference showing the perfSONAR applications and their potential uses by GRID projects.
