Visualisation tools

VisualperfSONAR is making use of the Authentication Service to access the Telnet/SSH MP (user behind a web container case).

Web-Services

A beta version of the Flow Selection and Aggregation MA has been demonstrated during the Sevilla meeting. The Flow Selection and Aggregation MA keeps a history of flow data received from one or more flow exporters, allowing thus the retrieval of netflow information by visualisation tools.

Several bugs were identified by the MDM service installers. Most of those bugs have been addressed and an updated version of the Telnet/SSH MP will be released as part of perfSONAR 2.2 (November).

Collaborations

The specification for the MDM perfSONAR 3.0 release have been produced with SA3 In Service Support. The main features of MDM perfSONAR 3.0 are (i) the capability for all web-services to use eduGAIN (via the perfSONAR Authentication Service) to authenticate the requesters (ii) a significant enhancement of the installation process (through the use of rpm and creation of a web-service administrative page that enhances the configuration of the web-services). The first release candidate is planned for end of November and the hand-over of the code to SA3-WI15 at the end of January. The tools that will be used for the Tier0-Tier1 monitoring are : BWCTL MP, RRD MA, SQL MA, Lookup Service, Hades suite.

A two days JRA1 meeting was held in Sevilla and was attended by 26 people. The meeting was organised in parallel working sessions where participants were focusing in small groups on specific topics.
