Hades measurements
Hades measurements shows one-way historical information between sets of measurement points deployed in the European R&D networks.
- Metric: One-way delay, one-way packet loss, traceroute
- Measured for: measured continuously between over 40 measurement points distributed over the EU R&D community.
- Time: five probes sent every 30 secs to all destinations
perfsonarUI
perfsonarUI is a GUI allowing monitoring data retrieval from / on demand tests across multiple networks having deployed perfSONAR web-services.
- Metrics: Provide access to link utilisation, link capacity, one-way delay data, one-way packet loss and on-demand TCP/UDP throughput.
- Measured for: Link utilisation is monitored by SNMP for selected links within GEANT2 and NRENs links. One-way delay and packet loss rate measured continuously between over 40 measurement points distributed over the EU R&D community. On-demand TCP/UDP throughput tests between 12 MPs located in the EU R&D community.
- Time: link utilization (continuous measurement) is available for several fixed time periods before the current time, the shortest period is the last 90 minutes providing average values for 60-second intervals. One-way measurements - five probes sent every 30 secs.
- More information: about perfsonarUI perfsonarUI - perfsonarUI Self Paced training.
perfSONAR status
perfSONAR status is a GUI showing the reachability of the perfSONAR web-services deployed. By clicking on the buttons, you can access the historical availability information (using smokeping).
- Metric: RTT and packet loss for each of the following: ICMP ping, http get, perfsonar ping
- Measured for: the perfSONAR web-services deployed by the EU R&D community.
- Time: every five minutes, ten probes of the three different types are sent to each target.

GEANT TCP throughput
GEANT TCP throughput and the MDM TCP Throughput shows historical information about TCP throughput measured between 15 measurement points deployed across EU R&D networks (Respectively GEANT2 and the MDM NRENs)
- Metric: TCP throughput
- Measured for: 30 measurement points deployed across EU R&D networks
- Time: varies. Test scheduled every few hours.
CNM
CNM is a map based tool allowing the visualisation of multiple metric accross multiple domains. Password requied.
- Metrics: Provide access to link utilisation, link capacity, one-way delay data.
- Measured for: Link utilisation is monitored by SNMP for selected links within GEANT2 and NRENs links. One-way delay and packet loss rate measured continuously between over 40 measurement points distributed over the EU R&D community.
- Time: link utilization (continuous measurement) is available for several fixed time periods before the current time, the shortest period is the last 90 minutes providing average values for 60-second intervals. One-way measurements - five probes sent every 30 secs.
- More information: about CNM
ABW
ABW permits the visualisation of used bandwidth on small time scales (1sec) using packet capture cards.
- Access: requires username and password, see [1]
- Metric: used bandwidth and its distribution into protocols in different layers
- Measured for: links between GEANT2 and NRENs where passive monitoring stations are installed
- Time: continuous monitoring, average values for arbitrary intervals from 1 second up are available
- More information: about ABW
TCMP-UI - trial version
TCMP-UI - trial version is web application, which may be used to instruct TCMP to start capture network packets and retrieve resulted PCAP files for local processing.
- Measured for: One link in Arnes, no authentication required (capture limited for the packets to and from a test machine for privacy purpose)
- Time: on demand
- More information: TCMP-UI user manual
- Status: Currently unavailable.
